# Tasks

A task is a unit of execution or a unit of work within a set process

## Triggering tasks

I'm often reminding myself of things I need to do only to forget them a few moments later. I find that [semantic priming](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Priming_\(psychology\)) can provide the necessary context for remembering forgotten tasks. While there are many different [types](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Priming_\(psychology\)#Types) of priming, mine is in the form of a "trigger" list that includes specific key words to help close any open loops I haven't yet captured.

## Organizing and tracking tasks

I personally use the "Get things done" (GTD) framework for creating, organizing, and tracking tasks.
